The development of eKnowledgebank began in earnest in 2007 as part of a Blended Learning approach to training.
This approach is based on Learners acquiring the basic information on the topic from Online Learning and then attending a class room program to apply the knowledge in an experiential format which allows more time for developing soft skills rather than classroom didactic teaching.
In 2007 the eKnowledgebank Online Learning System and the blended learning approach were taken up by a large regional bank based in South East Asia for sales related training. Since then some 2,100 plus sales people have participated in the Online Learning and a 3 day face to face training program based largely on role play to develop skills and apply the sales principles.
In the first half of 2010 the scope was expanded as part of the massive Transformation Project being undertaken by that bank. The project involved 400 Branch Managers participating in 7 sales related Online Learning Programs with each manager having to complete the learning over a 4 week period.
Needless to say this project and its tight deadlines tested the robustness and effectiveness eKnowledgebank and proved the stability of the system.
In 2008 a large global insurance company in South East Asia also took up eKnowledgebank, using it for deployment of User Manuals, product information and updates totalling some 950 pages to their Agency force if 1,800.
In summary, the eKnowledgebank Online Learning System has undergone extensive development and in field testing with some 4,000 users prior to being released to the general market, thus ensuring that new users will benefit quickly and safely.
